Vire to la Mont St Michel

Setting off from our B and B with instructions that the green cycle way was " follow the road". However we came across it literally. The road was over the greenway with no access onto it except down the embankment. We could see no other road that we could access that would allow us onto the trail hence down the bank with gear and bikes.

Having successfully got down onto the cycle trail it was great cycling all the way to La Mont St Michel. What an awesome site seeing this bit of world heritage real estate in the flesh. Over 3 million people a year visit with 2 million of those over the months July to September. It must be absolute mayhem. The bus driver told Chas there was hardly enough room to take a photograph.  The photos below are all taken around the Mont.
